About This Role:
Crusoe is building the World’s Favorite AI-first Cloud infrastructure company. We’re pioneering vertically integrated, purpose-built AI infrastructure solutions trusted by Fortune 500 companies to power their most advanced AI applications. Our platform is redefining AI cloud infrastructure with a mission to align the future of computing with the future of the climate.
We are seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Digital Infrastructure Group. In this role, you will play a critical part in planning and delivering large-scale, ground-up AI data center projects. You will work across design, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and construction teams to ensure projects are set up for successful execution from day one.
A key focus of this role is establishing and maintaining a structured Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that aligns scope, cost, and schedule—creating a consistent framework for planning, tracking, and reporting across projects.
What you’ll be working on:
Lead preconstruction efforts across multiple large-scale data center or infrastructure projects
Partner with design, engineering, and construction teams to define project scope, sequencing, and execution strategy
Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules during early project phases
Establish and maintain a clear Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to align scope, cost, and schedule across all phases of the project
Collaborate with General Contractors and trade partners to support bidding, value engineering, and constructability reviews
Establish project controls frameworks that enable consistent tracking, reporting, and forecasting
Support procurement planning, including long-lead equipment and Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed (OFCI) scopes
Drive consistency and best practices across preconstruction workflows, tools, and documentation
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between design evolution and project execution plans
Contribute to reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into project readiness and preconstruction performance
What you’ll bring to the team:
7+ years of experience in preconstruction, project controls, construction management, or related roles
Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, or data center construction projects
Strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, and project planning principles
Experience developing or working within Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project coding frameworks
Experience working with tools such as Procore, Primavera (P6 or OPC), or similar construction management platforms
Ability to work cross-functionally with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with power infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, or modular construction is a plus
