Overview
We are seeking a Technical Lead for a production B2B SaaS platform serving customers in the agricultural finance and risk-analysis space. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across the full stack, guiding technical direction, and improving a live system with real customers and real constraints.
You will work closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to evolve the platform, improve reliability and performance, and help shape how we build software as we move toward a more AI-assisted development model.
Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain features across the Node.js / React.js / PostgreSQL (PostGIS) stack with agentic AI coding assistance.
- Serve as a senior technical contributor and technical lead for the SaaS product.
- Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, including implementation of AI workflow agents.
- Provide architectural guidance for a mature, customer-facing B2B SaaS application
- Review designs and pull requests with an eye toward long-term maintainability, security, and performance.
- Clearly articulate technical tradeoffs and decision rationale to both engineers and non-engineers
- Document key features, architectural decisions, and meaningful system changes
- Collaborate with infrastructure and data teams on deployment, scaling, security and operational concerns
- Mentor other engineers through example, code review, and technical discussions

Qualifications:
- Strong production experience with PostgreSQL, including PostGIS, with extensive SQL skills.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in software development with a track record of leading and mentoring teams.
- Strong production experience with Node.js (JavaScript and TypeScript) and React.js
- In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with AWS and Azure.
- Experience working on a live B2B SaaS application with existing customers.
- Accustomed to incorporating agentic AI coding tools in development tasks.
- Ability to work effectively across both backend and frontend codebases.
- Experience documenting systems, features, and architectural changes in a clear manner.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, and solid communication skills.
- Experience building agentic tools and AI-powered assistants to support customer workflows a plus.
- Experience developing GIS applications using MapLibre a plus.

Pay: $155,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
