About The Role:
Nevoya is seeking CDL Driver's to operate our all-electric Class A fleet on local and regional routes. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. This role requires strong driving skills, advanced knowledge of vehicle inspections and maintenance, and the ability to manage varying freight types under different conditions. You will represent Nevoya to customers and the public, upholding our high standards for professionalism, safety, and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Operate Class A EV commercial vehicles on assigned routes
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Use Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and logging systems to track hours and maintain accurate records
Manage freight handling, including securing dry van, flatbed, refrigerated, and other load types
Perform basic troubleshooting for minor maintenance issues, such as checking tires, lights, and fluids
Adhere to federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including Hours of Service rules
Safely navigate under various weather and road conditions
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers to coordinate operations
Report any incidents, delays, or compliance concerns immediately to management
Maintain a clean driving record and professional conduct at all times
Qualifications:
At least 3 years CDL driving experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Experience with local/regional routes
Knowledge of truck maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with different freight types (dry van, flatbed, refrigerated, etc.)
Pass DOT physical exam and drug test
Technical Skills:
Proficient in performing detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Skilled in ELD and logging system use for accurate compliance tracking
Capable of managing freight under varying conditions and equipment types
Strong knowledge of state and federal transportation regulations
Basic maintenance skills for identifying and resolving minor mechanical issues
Route navigation and planning under diverse weather and road conditions
